BUDGIE COLEMAN AND THE REEDHAM CHOIR

In 1981, during repairs to the thatched roof, the church suffered a serious fire and was gutted. Now restored, this is a tribute to the dedication of the Church council. A contribution from the sale of each CD goes to church restoration funds. These are some of the best known and best loved hymns sung by this talented choir with guest singer Budgie Coleman

These hymns must surely rank among the most popular ever written. The words of Amazing Grace came to John Newton in a storm when he was lashed to the helm of a ship. Did you know that Sir Arthur Sullivan of the Gilbert and Sullivan partnership wrote the music for Onward Christian Soldiers ? The words for Rock of Ages came to the Reverend Toplady when he was sheltering under a rock from a violent storm in the West country

The Choir of St. John the Baptist Church, Reedham, Norfolk. Choirmaster: Allan Parrott, Karen Butterworth (flute), Roger Martin (Organ) with Budgie Coleman
